COVID - 19 School Closure
Dear Parents and Carers,
Sadly, Folville Junior School will be closed to the majority of students from Monday 23rd March. We do not know when we will re-open.
This is from the Government website of FAQs
Many parents working in these critical sectors may be able to ensure their child is kept at home. Every child who can be safely cared for at home should be. This is an offer to parents and carers and there is no requirement for parents and carers to send their children to school if they do not need or wish to do so.”
This is an update from the government this morning.
‘that parents should keep their children at home, wherever possible and that they’ve asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.’
From this guidance we will offer places at school to the children of keyworkers, those children with EHCPs and those children who are vulnerable at home.
We urge all keyworker parents to contact the school immediately to discuss this.
Therefore we will open at 8am on Monday 23rd March for the specified children ONLY.
- Entry will be through the front door, the playground gates will not be opened.
- The children will need to bring a packed lunch, those on free school meals will be provided with a packed lunch by school.
- Teaching will follow the normal pattern.
- After school care will be provided until 5:30.
Thank you for all your support and understanding at this difficult time.
