History
History is an essential subject. It enables cultural and social development and it ignites the children’s curiosity about the past of Britain and the world. History is taught with an emphasis on the history of human endeavours, enabling the children to relate to their own challenges and successes.
We aim to develop inquisitive minds, encouraging the children to understand the need for research and gathering evidence to enable them to express balanced and objective views. History often branches out into other subjects as part of Folville’s cross curricular approach, such as writing or art.
