Inclusivity

At Folville Junior School, inclusion is not a policy — it is who we are. We believe every child has the right to feel safe, valued, and successful, whatever their background or starting point. Our vision of a safe and nurturing community delivering excellence begins with inclusion, ensuring that every pupil can access learning, participate fully, and achieve their potential.

We are proud to be a school that goes out of its way to remove barriers. Our teachers plan learning that is inclusive by design, ensuring that every lesson offers access, challenge, and success for all. Classrooms are calm, structured, and adaptive, with support tailored to each child’s needs — from scaffolding and flexible grouping to carefully selected interventions. Our SENDCo, ELSA, and Family Support Team work closely with staff and families to identify needs early and respond quickly, ensuring that no child is left behind.

We understand that true inclusion extends beyond the classroom. Our partnerships with families are central to our approach. We listen, we work together, and we provide support that strengthens children’s confidence and wellbeing. Whether through attendance support, emotional mentoring, or guidance for families new to the UK, we aim to make Folville a place where everyone feels they belong.

Inclusion at Folville means that every child has a champion, every family is supported, and every learner has the opportunity to thrive. We are proud to be a community where differences are celebrated, barriers are removed, and excellence is achieved through compassion, determination, and trust.
